General Rules of Conduct and Discipline

  1. All students must attend the school on the opening day of each academic term. Students who do not attend on the opening day are liable to have their names struck off the rolls. If they are readmitted they must pay the admission fee again.
  2. However any student who is constrained to absent due to a genuine reason must submit a letter from the parent or guardian on the first working day after such absence, explaining the reason for the absence. Otherwise, the student may be sent home.
  3. Students should be punctual. Habitual late comers will be fined Rs.10/- per day.
  4. No student should leave the school premises during working hours without the permission of the Principal.
  5. Parents and guardians are not allowed to meet students or the class teachers during class hours. However, they can meet the Principal between 2-00 P.M. and 3-00 P.M. on Monday thro” Friday. The Parents of the Pre-Primary School can be met between 11-00 A.M. and 12-00 Noon.
  6. Students are expected to address their teachers and other members of the staff with due respect and politeness. They must show gentleness and courtesy to their fellow students. Refined manners, uprightness, self restraint and gentleness should distinguish every student of the school.
  7. All damages to the school’s property must be repaired at the cost of the “offender class”. Students responsible for repeated damages to the school’s property are liable to be sent out of the school.
  8. Irregular attendance or habitual idleness or disobedience or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school is sufficient reason for the removal of the student from the school.
  9. Every student is expected to attend the school with at least 75% of the number of working days during the academic year, failing which his/her promotion to the next higher class is liable to be withheld.
  10. No Collection of money is permitted in the school for any purpose except those authorized by the school management.
  11. Student of the pre-primary school will be allowed to stay in the school premises after the school hours until12-15 PM. If any student is not collected by 12-30 PM the school will arrange, in exceptional cases only, for the transportation of the student to the residence as early as possible. The expenses including fine in such cases will be borne by the Parents/Guardians.
  12. Accidental minor injuries to students during the working hours will be treated with the first aid equipment maintained in the school.
  13. The parent/guardian will be informed if the student requires further medical attention.
  14. Students will be given necessary homework only. Parents/ Guardians are requested to ensure that their children/ wards do the assigned work regularly. Students who do not do their home work and do not come to the school with appropriate equipment in time, will be disciplined suitably by the class teacher and subject teachers. Habitual offenders in these matters are liable to be sent home.
  15. Parents/ Guardians are requested to appreciate the necessity for the students to be subjected to the discipline of the school and not to interface with the authorities in this regard. In case the Parents/ Guardian is dissatisfied with such disciplinary action taken by the school, he / she is at liberty to withdraw the student from the school. Indecent behaviour of the Parent / Guardian in the premises of the school will be sufficient reason to issue transfer certificate to the student.
  16. The Management reserves the right to expel any student for reason of habitual disturbance in the class and repeated disobedience of instructions of the teachers and the Principal.
  17. Prior permission must be obtained from the principal, if a student has to be taken out of station by Parents/ Guardians, which is not encouraged during academic session.
  18. Parents/ Guardians are strongly discouraged from visiting the school staff in their residences.
  19. Students are medically examined every year by qualified Doctors and any abnormalities in the health of the student are reported to the Parent/Guardian for appropriate action. Parents/Guardian are excepted to take necessary action to have the abnormalities rectified through their own Doctors.
  20. Costly articles or money should not be brought to the school. The students should not wear costly ornaments or jewellery.
  21. Change of address or phone numbers of the Parents/ Guardians should be communicated immediately to the Principal.
  22. Students should come in decent dress to school on their birthdays
